The logistics segment is very broad and includes much more than storage and distribution of products in the domestic and foreign markets. According to data from the Brazilian Logistics Association (ABL), focusing only on the segment of logistics service providers (PSLs), that is, companies whose business object is the providing logistics services, there is currently a quota of approximately 150 thousand professionals directly employed throughout Brazil.
In Itajaí (SC), a city in the state of Santa Catarina with the biggest logistics potential, the University of Vale do Itajaí (Univali) qualified no less than 1,932 foreign trade professionals and 1,076 logistics professionals.
According to Eduardo Meira, commercial director of Allog, the company understands that, in order to serve customers well, it is necessary to develop an internal team of professionals trained and in tune with the market.
